This tutorial is a continuation of the candle light tutorial. The wax material used in that tutorial doesn’t have subsurface scattering, so we need to find an alternative to achieve this effect. This is more about Final Render than Fume FX, but it’s important if you want to have SSS with Fume FX. Please note that this scene is modeled in 3DSMax 2010 so you will need this version of the software to open the project files. Anyway if you follow the tutorial you can complete it in any previous version of the software. For the materials you need Final Render.
