shading/texturing artist
morro images is currently recruiting talented artist to support our team in Potsdam Babelsberg, Germany. Right now we are focused on the production of a fully cg animated short film which is mainly produced in Autodesk Maya. In addition, the project will be optimized for stereoscopic 3D.
You know how to create and tweak shading networks both procedural and generic to match aesthetical requirements of the object/scene you are working on. You are experienced in the use of your tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya and/or Autodesk 3DsMax. You have a good understanding of mesh flow and object topology and know how to create suitable uv layouts in a relatively short amount of time.
Qualifications
- advanced skills in shading and texturing techniques (skills in lighting techniques are a plus)
- good sense for composition and material/surface characteristics
- experience in shading workflow in Autodesk Maya and/or Autodesk 3DsMax is mandatory
- experience in V-Ray workflow (Maya/Max) is a big plus
- ability to use MEL and/or Python language is a plus
